Cornmeal Cheese Biscuits

This recipe is really fast and really delicous! Here is the ingredient list:

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cold butter

1/2 cup shredded cheese (of your choice!)

1 cup milk

First combine the dry ingredients: flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt in a bowl.  Once it is mixed well, add the butter until the dry ingredients become crumbly.  Then add the cheese and milk, stir until mixed.

Drop 12 large spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake at 450* for about 10 minutes.

I used colby jack cheese and it was so delicious.  I tried sticking with 1/2 cup of cheese but next time I will sneak in a bit more, I will also roast some garlic and make garlic butter for them.  Below is a picture of the finished product.
